I've got the key to your escape route
I've got your eyes
I've got you on a string

wake up one morning on the floor of the bedroom
my bed is taking a walk
to shake off the sleepless nights

I fall from the sky like a drop of rain
landing in your eye
soak into your brain

the moon is your answer
waiting
with your boat you would sail us there

to the land of peace
on the dark side where god's gaze runs out
I'm trapped in your avalanche

my mind caves in
thoughts drip away into the snow
carried off in the streams of red

The answers lie at the top of the stairs
at the top of the mountain
at the top of the world

I am the answer to all your dreams
i live in a 3 story house in your head
i go where i please

One day that stone will grow
pressed against your skull
let the juice flow

fire
fire
stand your ground

you will stand your ground
Sounds overhead
multicoloured sky of dripping paint

search forever to find the truth
the only answer is a white, black and grey
you cannot attack

the man you seek is dead
he left a message for you
but I have since forgot it

Perhaps there was once
but not now
not for longer than anyone can know

Ring Ring Ring
the devils mouth in your face
tell them to shove it

a long continuous tone
Lights in the sky
wires strung up like murderers

lights in the wall
wires strung up like thieves
the father

the son
and the holy spirit
are all laughing at you

The last knight
stood patiently
while his 2 brothers...

*sigh* That is a very beautiful poem-it reminds me of Radiohead's Pyramid Song (a song that makes me cry, embarassing enough:blushes: ). Again, I could imagine it perfectly in my mind-and the language you used was great. It almost seems to describe the night, in a strange way. This is definetely a fave:)

hahaha, you've hit the nail on the head there: radiohead! Their lyrics are so inspirational, this particular poem is much like the lyrics of the Kid A - Hail To The Thief era, to which Pyramid Song belongs. I think the song I took most inspiration from when writing this was Sail To The Moon (Hail To The Thief), the title of which is echoed in it. If you haven't heard it before, hear it!

Oh, I love that song! I'm desperately waiting for their next album. After Hail to the Theif, I'm excited about where they'll be heading:)

Very nice. I liked how you kept every stanza with 3 lines. It has a nice flow to it. Its easy to understand and imagine. You could always add some grammer in there. Like periodes and stuff. But thats really no big deal becouse I always forget to do that. The words are what matters and the feeling you get from them. You did very well at that. I think it is very good. Keep up the good work!

The language is simple and effective and the rhyme and rhythm too.. Simplicity being good.

it's so rhythmically flowing and beautifully illustrated. Like somone's already said..it reminds me of radiohead, calm rushing. so full but so sparse.
i love it, awsome.
